Jack Black is the wacky uncle who takes custody of his orphaned nephew Lewis Barnavelt after he loses his parents. A little bit of an outcast, Lewis is soon surrounded by both good and evil magic, from the moment he steps into his Uncles house. Cate Blanchett also co-stars as the Lewis’ Uncles friend and neighbour.

This isn’t a new movie (2018) and was perfect for the Halloween season but its still worth a watch if you’re after a good, dark family fantasy film before Christmas movies take over.

A fun 7.8/10 movie for the whole family to enjoy.
