SAS ROGUE HEROES - SEASON 1 (2022) has to be one of the BBC’s best productions to date - it was an absolute hoot! It is full of action, suspense, comedy, great sound track - character to love, characters to hate and grow to love….we couldn’t fault it and it is the best of binge-worthy with its 6 x 1 hour long episodes.

It tells the story of the formation or creation of the infamous Special Forces Unit and is based on the book by Ben Macintyre but is written for TV by Steven Knight, known for Peaky Blinders, See & Taboo among other great shows.

Season 1 is set during the WW2 fight for control of the Med through establishing footholds in North Africa in 1941 and each episode is great, high octane and full of madness. Season 2 however gets a bit more serious & there are more emotions in play for the viewer, as the force fight to survive and even keep the SAS regiment alive, as their missions move on from North Africa into Sicily and then onto Italy. It’s a great follow up, to a hard-to-top Season 1 and we can’t wait for a 3rd Season.

Watch it, binge it, love it - Season 1 is a 8.6/10 for us and Season 2 follows up with a very impressive 8.1/10.
