Something definitely a bit different to watch!

Jimmy Carr presents a comedic Royal Rumble TV Show, where 10 UK Comedians face off against each other in a Big Brother type setting. The aim of the game is to make others smile and laugh but you are not allowed to smile or laugh yourself or risk being eliminated.

There are challenges added by ‘Big Brother’ Jimmy throughout, to move the process of elimination along - that put the comedians poker faces to the test. It uses a football card system where if you are caught smiling or laughing, its a yellow card and a second offense is a red card - with the expelled contestant getting to join presenter Jimmy and somewhat co-commentator/presenter Roisin Conaty in the viewing gallery.

It’s not particularly exciting but there is a weirdly fun satisfaction in watching the laugh-enducing pro’s struggle to keep dead pan faces throughout. There are only 6 episodes, with 2 still to be released at the time of typing but its an easy binge if you are looking for some light-hearted fun, that takes no brain-power to watch or concentrate on.

It’s such a simple concept but you find yourself smiling throughout - 7.8/10 for originality.
